Brighten up the roof of the World
2020-01-20
The peoples of the Mongolian and of the Tibetan have much in common. Both espouse Tibetan Buddhism and unfurl painted silk thangkas on festival days. The Mongolians relying on the horse and the Tibetans on the yak for sustenance. From the "Roof of the World" to the Gobi Desert, dive deep into both enduring cultures.
Both Mongolia and Tibet are high plateaus of Inner Asia, and their open steppes and cold, arid climate make them well-suited to nomadism. On account of similarities in their geographic circumstances, both Tibet and Mongolia are developed to suite isolated, grandiose lands, complicated history, exacerbated nationalism, underdeveloped economy,
Since they both adapted the similar cultural style: Nomadic pastoralism. It was thus, difficult for the Mongols and Tibetans to construct reliable grid service, hence people living in that region are still unable to have electricity.
This time, AlphaESS went to the frontier land, trekking across the mountains and ridges, overcome the harsh environment and brought electricity to light the hope of local people.
Inner Mongolia: Qigan County, Erguna City, Guhailar City
Located in border area and separated by Russian from the Ergun River, Qiqian County has only 7 families in the local village, 1 army stationed, 1 township government, and 1 maritime bureau.
To satisfy the electricity need of these people, AlphaESS had accepted the request raised by the Hailar Maritime Bureau and arranged them an integrated energy system.
In order to make the maximum use of PV generation and fulfill the purpose of self-consumption, AlphaESS had installed a 100kW/400kWh energy storage system in Qiqian County.
Capable of working with a 100kW PV generation and a 100kW diesel generation, this energy system is fully capable of providing stable electricity for the county even under extreme weather conditions such as blizzard, storm etc.
Tibet: Zhongba County, Shigatse
Shigatse Zhongba County is just near the Mount Qomolangma and bordering Nepal. Within its scope, there are more than 4000 mountains which are above 5000 meters, and makes Zhongba a typical plateau mountain landform. Altitude range of Zhongba starting from at least 4421 meters and maximum to 7095 meters.
Grid is impossible to maintain functional facing such height and temperature and that is the reason people there need an off-grid energy system.
AlphaESS designed a proposal that includes a 500kW/1mWh energy storage system, a 250kW PV generation and a 400kW diesel generation to operate with the heat pump project.
In the day light, PV generation will support the load and charge the energy storage system at the same time. When the power is insufficient, the diesel engine will be the backup. As a result, people can enjoy the electricity from energy storage system and the heating from heat pump at night.
With these incredible experiences, AlphaESS is confident that we have the ability of supplying well-designed energy storage systems that can work under extreme height and conditions in far reached areas, like the Andes region, the Alps region etc.
We are following our mission of making clean energy beneficial to the greatest extent to everyone in the world, step by step.
