AlphaESS Ships First 90 MWh for Czech Republic's Largest Stand-Alone BESS Project
2026-03-03
Qidong, China, March 2, 2026 — AlphaESS has successfully achieved the first major delivery milestone for the Czech Republic's largest stand-alone battery energy storage project, with 90 MWh of BESS systems shipped as part of the total 320 MWh deployment across Chvaletice and Kladno.
The shipment follows a comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and on-site inspection conducted by project owner Sev.en Zeta a.s and EPC contractor Eltodo a.s., who visited AlphaESS's headquarters and Qidong manufacturing facility from January 27 to February 2. A formal shipment ceremony was held on January 29, marking the official commencement of large-scale delivery for the project.

FAT Monitoring and Customer Factory Visit in China
During the visit, representatives from Seven Batteries and Eltodo, together with third-party inspection company Sinovoltaics, conducted in-depth FAT monitoring for the BESS Teplárna Kladno project.
The inspection covered:
• Battery container assembly and system integration
• Safety systems and fire-protection architecture
• Electrical performance and control logic
• Full-scope factory acceptance testing procedures
The customer team also participated in detailed technical discussions with AlphaESS engineers, gaining first-hand insight into manufacturing quality control, system design philosophy, and large-scale delivery processes.

Following the successful completion of FAT, a Shipment Ceremony was held at the AlphaESS factory, officially marking the departure of the first batch of Aster 5000 systems bound for the Czech Republic.
The ceremony was attended by senior management representatives from both AlphaESS and the Czech delegation, including technical and project leaders who had closely participated in the FAT process. During the event, both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term strategic cooperation in the European energy storage market.
In his speech, Ryon YOU, General Manager of AlphaESS's Large-Scale Energy Storage Business Unit, highlighted that the successful FAT sign-off and immediate shipment demonstrate the company’s strong manufacturing capability, strict quality control standards, and on-time delivery performance. The Czech partner expressed confidence in AlphaESS’s technology and project execution strength, emphasizing that the Aster 5000 systems will play a key role in upcoming grid-scale energy storage projects in the Czech market.

This milestone reflects AlphaESS's continued expansion within the European large-scale energy storage sector and reinforces its commitment to supporting the region's energy transition with high-performance, utility-scale BESS solutions.

Advancing One of Europe's Landmark BESS Projects
The Chvaletice and Kladno projects, once fully delivered, will form the largest stand-alone energy storage installations in the Czech Republic, playing a critical role in national grid modernization and energy transition efforts. The successful shipment of the first 90 MWh marks an important step forward in project execution and reflects the strong collaboration between Seven Batteries, Eltodo, and AlphaESS.
AlphaESS will continue to support subsequent production, testing, and delivery phases, ensuring consistent quality and on-time execution as the project progresses toward full commissioning.
