AlphaESS Named a BloombergNEF Tier 1 Energy Storage Manufacturer for the Fifth Consecutive Quarter in Q4 2026

2026-11-05

AlphaESS has once again been named a Tier 1 global energy storage manufacturer by BloombergNEF (BNEF) in its Q4 2026 list. The company's continued inclusion reflects its established track record in large-scale energy storage projects and growing global project capabilities, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for customers and investors worldwide.

BNEF's latest Tier 1 assessment introduces stricter criteria, placing greater emphasis on bankability and proven project experience. For the first time, energy storage equipment providers must have supplied projects backed by non-recourse financing from at least two commercial banks across Tier 1-eligible projects. The updated methodology highlights the growing importance of real-world project experience and financial credibility in the global energy storage market.

For project developers, investors and EPC partners, selecting a reliable energy storage supplier is essential to managing project risks and supporting long-term project success. AlphaESS' continued inclusion in the Tier 1 list provides an additional independent reference for supplier selection and financing due diligence, helping customers evaluate potential partners with greater confidence.

Expanding Large-Scale Energy Storage Projects Across Europe

These capabilities are reflected in AlphaESS' expanding portfolio of large-scale energy storage projects across Europe, including recent developments in Lithuania, Austria and Germany totaling 200 MWh.

In Lithuania, a 120 MWh battery energy storage project has successfully passed its Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), with equipment ready for shipment. As one of AlphaESS' largest energy storage projects in Europe to date, this milestone reflects the company's progress in project execution, quality assurance and delivery readiness.

In Austria, AlphaESS supplied the DC-side battery system for a 30 MW / 60 MWh project in Hörsching, Upper Austria. Developed for a major logistics facility, the project integrates on-site solar generation, battery storage and electric truck charging, while supporting grid frequency regulation and backup power. Its 40 MWh grid-services section entered operation in September 2026, and the project has received Upper Austria's Energie Star award.

In Germany, AlphaESS is supplying the DC-side battery system for a 20 MWh project in Bavaria. Designed to provide grid-balancing services and participate in energy arbitrage, the project is scheduled to enter operation in 2027.

Together, these projects reflect AlphaESS' growing experience in supporting large-scale energy storage developments and collaborating with local partners across different European markets.

Beware of the Brand
Infringement of AlphaESS

Recently, a severe infringement and fraud issue has caught our attention. A FAKE application with a FAKE logo, a FAKE website https://www.alphaessinvest.com/ and even FAKE videos under the name of AlphaESS are now spreading all over India, attempting to seduce people to invest money in energy storage systems by using a FAKE AlphaESS logo and real AlphaESS products photos.

It's obvious that they are looting money by using a FAKE AlphaESS brand and have seriously violated the intellectual property rights of AlphaESS.

AlphaESS shall spare no efforts and no costs to go against the violation by all means legally before more people get deceived.
